The Boardman Historical Society opened its new museum on August 13, 2026, marking 150 years since its founding. The museum includes exhibits that trace the history of Boardman Township and its community over the past century and a half.
The Society organized the museum to highlight local artifacts, documents, and photographs collected over its long history. The grand opening featured displays of early settler tools, vintage photographs, and memorabilia from significant township events.
Founded in 1876, the Boardman Historical Society has focused on preserving the heritage of the area. The new museum serves as a public space to explore the township’s development through changing times and industries.
