On a recent visit I realised I was moving through the museum quite quickly until I reached one particular gallery. Without really thinking about it, I slowed down. I started reading more, spent longer looking at each object, and even sat on a bench for a while.
It wasn't the biggest gallery or the one with the most famous pieces. Something about the atmosphere simply encouraged me to take my time.
