Grammy Museum to Open 2026 Exhibit Showcasing Olivia Rodrigo’s Rise from Actress to Music Superstar

The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles will open an exhibit dedicated to Olivia Rodrigo, the American singer-songwriter and actress, in 2026. The announcement of the exhibit complements Rodrigo’s rapidly rising profile in the music world and her distinctive career trajectory.
Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was born on February 20, 2003, in Murrieta, California. She first gained public attention through acting roles in Disney Channel’s Bizaardvark (2016–2019) and Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (2019–2022). After shifting her focus to music, she signed with Geffen Records in 2020, securing ownership of her masters.
Her debut single, “Drivers License,” released on January 8, 2021, broke multiple Spotify streaming records, with over 17 million global streams in a single day at its peak. The song debuted at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped charts worldwide. Rodrigo followed it with “Deja Vu” and “Good 4 U,” each securing top 10 positions, with “Good 4 U” debuting at number one as well.
Her debut album, Sour, released in May 2021, topped the US Billboard 200 and held the number-one spot for five weeks, the longest for a female artist that year. It was Spotify’s most-streamed album globally in 2021, and Rodrigo became 2021’s bestselling singles artist worldwide. Time named her Entertainer of the Year in 2021.
Rodrigo’s success continued with her second album, Guts, released in September 2023. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and received critical acclaim, with BBC News calling it the most critically acclaimed album of 2023. The lead single, “Vampire,” also debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first artist to have each lead single from their first three albums enter number one.
Throughout her career, Rodrigo earned three Grammy Awards among numerous other accolades. In August 2023, she became the youngest artist to receive the Brit Billion Award for surpassing one billion digital streams in the UK.
The Grammy Museum’s exhibit will chronicle Rodrigo’s artistic evolution from child actress to a defining musical voice of her generation. It will include memorabilia from her acting and music careers, highlighting key moments such as the streaming milestones of “Drivers License,” the global success of Sour, and her award-winning performances.
The exhibit is scheduled to open in Los Angeles in 2026, offering an in-depth look at Rodrigo’s progression as a contemporary pop figure and her impact on the music industry in her early twenties.
